According to an Iranian study, fennel could help alleviate menopausal symptoms. The researchers report that menopause symptoms improved after the women took fennel capsules.
Fennel could be a therapeutic option for hormone replacement therapy for the treatment of menopausal menopausal symptoms.
This is the conclusion reached by scientists from the University of Tehran. You carried out a study with 79 women between the ages of 45 and 60 who suffered from menopausal symptoms. The women were divided into two groups and took one capsule with 100 mg of fennel extract or a placebo twice a day for eight weeks.
After just 2 weeks, the verum group showed a significant improvement in symptoms such as hot flashes, insomnia, vaginal dryness and anxiety. This improvement continued 8 weeks after the treatment, with no serious side effects. You can find the study here. (Association of German Alternative Practitioners)
